Snow.
How I hate snow.
As a child growing up in Colwyn Bay, I used to pray feverishly that God would blanket The Bay in a glut of the white stuff. On those rare occasions when it did snow, I could lose whole days sliding down Saint David's road on a bin lid, (no sledges in Tan y Lan, we were all too poor, lol).
Our school had a very dicky heating system and it would regulary give up the ghost when it was most needed; so you could guarantee the first snowfall would herald at least a long weekend off for our own little North Walien Cresta Run .
Happy, carefree days...(Sighs).
No mortgage, no shiftwork, no bills, no kids...school wasn't all that bad on reflection, lol.
My kids nearly passed out in raptures when they looked out of the window this morning. I've never seen my boy get dressed and clean his teeth so quickly. He was straight out throwing snowballs at his sister, no mucking about.

They didn't believe me when I told them that I used to slide down Nain and Taid's road on a bin lid. It wasn't the angle of the incline that raised their doubts, (mind you, it is bloody steep) it was the fact that I didn't own a sledge. How to explain to your kids the North Wales of Margarete Thatcher's Britain?
To them, poverty is not owning a mobile phone or a dvd player. My kids find it hard to believe that we never had a phone until 1984, and that our tv was a black and white with four channels or that the only computers to be seen then were on Star Trek.

Wow, how did we survive then?

Anyway, where was I?
Oh, it's snowing.
God I hate snow.

I got the shock of my life when I saw the snow - and your picture.
Hate it with a passion, snow that is. It only deserves to be on christmas cards.
The north wind is certainly blowing with vengance down this neck of the woods.

Yep me good. Have been working with my american agents and book is now critiqued and edited. I have now got my own literary agent Georgina Scott Orr lol. The book is now waiting in line until a publisher sez to them....got anything on childrens fantasy? (or something like that).
Considered dredlocks or putting a few ribbons in? or how about plaiting it in little loops at the back pride and prejudice style? You ole rocker you.
Go on I double dare you. :-)
I have to admit I was a rocker as opposed to a mod. They kept getting beaten up by rockers. Hence me being a rocker. I'm rambling now aint I?
